Miracles in Motion is a non-profit therapeutic riding center in Keene NH. We have a BEAUTIFUL new facility- 12 stalls, many opening into private paddocks as well as a huge grazing field and a bunch of "diet" paddocks. Our horses receive the very best care in the world- they are our hero's and angels and allow us to keep doing what we do every day. Every one of our 4 horses is the best friend to many disabled children, and they get more love and affection and gratitude than you could imagine!
What we are looking for: Mare or gelding, 14h-15.3h, aged 8 to 17 (we could move a little on that but the circumstances would have to be exceptional). Sound, sound, sound. Bomb-proof, easy to lead in the walk and trot. Willing, sweet, kind and easy to connect with emotionally. Able to canter is a big plus for our more independent riders but not a deal breaker. Stocky and sturdy is a good thing- we do have a weight limit, but many of our riders have balance issues. We can't take gaited horses (unfortunately). We are looking for two horses- one that would be more suitable for independent riders and one for our less able riders. Temperament, soundness +++!!
Please let me know if you need more info. You can check us out at www.mimnh.org.

Looking for 1-2 "school" horses for about 2-3 lessons per week, trail riding, hunter paces, beach riding, etc. Really small program with beginners all the way to advanced riders. I know some rescues won't adopt out to school programs and even though mine isn't big...ultimately whatever horses I do find to give a home to would be schoolies. I plan on keeping whatever horses I find for the remainder of their lives so would be more then happy to sign a contract, provide references, and a property visit. Honestly looking for a long term/permanent free lease or something in need of a home. Older is fine and MINOR health/soundness issues would be ok as well assuming the horse is comfortable.

Hi,
I would like to adopt/foster a pony that would be safe with kids aged 2 and 5 (with adult supervision of course). I have had horses all my life and when I was younger we rescued a pony that was blind in 1 eye that we got when I was 5 and a pulling pony when I was 8 that loved kids and hated guns and men. I rember them and the time I spent with them fondly and would like to have my children enjoy the same thing. We loved them until we lost them and we would do the same with any pony that came into our family. Currently we have 2 suffolk punch and they are just too big for the kids and hope we can offer a good home to a needy pony or 2 like my mother did when I was growing up. If anyone has any leads let me know.'

This page is to help people who are LOOKING for a horse. Hopefully they can be matched up with a horse NEEDING a home. (:
But PLEASE!! Check references!! KNOW who you are giving/selling your horse to, there are many people hovering, and lying, to get cheap/free horses... they are dealers, they want MONEY, they do not care about horses. They lie. PLEASE don't let your horse, or any horse, end up on their trailer, which will very likely be a free trip to Canada... slaughter. ):
If you would like a LOOKING blurb here, please send an email with your references... fatoldfarmwife@verizon.net
Looking to free lease or foster a 'deadsafe' rideable large pony (sturdy stocky 13H-13.3H) or rideable donkey (standard and larger). I cant afford to get hurt and dont want a challenge of any kind, but have the space and experience. Right now could have one until Aug of next yr. But it has to be something I can at least easily ride around at a walk. I keep hearing of animals abandoned or underfed so wonder if there isnt something for me for the next 8 or 9 months....
